Description:An epitope is an antigenic determinant, a biological structure or sequence to which an antibody binds. Recombinant DNA technology allows us to construct fusion proteins which each expressed from gene of interest and consists an epitope tag. These fusion proteins can be identified and purified by using epitope tag specific antibodies, which simplifies the time-consuming and labor-intensive task of antibody generation from already complicated process. The most commonly used epitope tags include His tag (6-Histidine), HA tag (Hemagglutinin), c-Myc tag, GST tag, and DYKDDDDK. Storage: Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
