Storage Instruction:Store the kit at 4°C. Description:
Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), also known as vascular permeability factor (VPF) or vasculotropin, is a homodimeric 34 -42 kDa, heparin-binding glycoprotein with potent angiogenic, mitogenic and vascular permeability-enhancing activities specific for endothelial cells. The most important member is VEGF-A. Other members are Placenta 3 growth factor (PlGF), VEGF-B, VEGF-C and VEGF-D. VEGF-C undergoes a complex proteolytic maturation, generating multiple processed forms which bind and activate VEGFR-3 receptors. Only the fully processed form can bind and activate VEGFR-2 receptors.
