Principle:
The level of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) was measured by double antibody sandwich method. Add IRP-labeled glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP ) Antibody to form antibody - antigen - enzyme antibody complex, washed repeatedly with substrate TMB color. TMB in the peroxidase catalyzed conversion to blue, then the reaction was terminated with sulfuric acid, into a yellow. The color depth is directly related to the amount of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) in the sample. Absorbance (OD) was measured at 750 nm using a microplate reader and the concentration of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) in the test sample was calculated from the standard curve.
