It is a unique microcapsule that encapsulates UVA, VUB organic sunscreen, which not only disperses in the water and provides excellent skin feel. In addition, it is a 40% aqueous dispersion of encapsulated Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane and Octocrylene.
Eusolex UV-Pearls OB-S is an aqueous dispersion of silica beads containing a combination of octocrylene and BMDM.  Photostability is enhanced not only by the combination with octocrylene, but also by separating the BMDM from other ingredients (for example ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate) that might otherwise increase photo- degradation. Formulation and handling is made easier by allowing hydrophobic UV filters to be incorporated in the water phase of the emulsion, which also improves the sensory properties of the formulation.
Encapsulation also prevents the actives from directly contacting the skin, reducing dermal uptake and hence the potential for any irritant or allergic reactions.
